I'm here to change the world with clean beauty.
I am not here to sell beauty products. I am here to change the world we live in.
Yes, I am passionate about sharing the mission of @beautycounter, which is to get safer products into the hands of everyone. But not “Beautycounter” products into the hands of everyone - SAFER products into the hands of everyone!
1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer in our lifetime.
My friends have suffered from pregnancy loss or infertility, and many of their children suffer from asthma, eczema and allergies. Our bodies are on toxic overload from the products we put on our largest organ, our skin.
There are plenty of things that are detrimental to our health that our beyond our control, but two things you can control are what you put IN and ON your body.
Many of the chemicals we put on our skin every day (such as parabens and phthalates) are absorbed into our bloodstream within 26 SECONDS. Think the FDA wouldn’t allow harmful chemicals to be allowed in our personal care products? Think again. Over 85,000 chemicals have been introduced to the marketplace, 80% of those have NEVER been assessed for human safety.
The US has not passed a major federal law governing the industry since 1938, before the Golden Gate Bridge and when you could still smoke on airplanes. Europe AND Canada have banned many chemicals that are in products Americans use every day.
If I never made another dollar selling @beautycounter products, I would still be shouting this from the rooftops.
Just tune in to my @cleanbeautypodcast to hear how I highlight OTHER clean and sustainable brands EVERY week!
It’s time for change. I want my future kids and their kids to live healthier and longer than my generation, but at this pace they are at risk of more disease and worsening cancer rates.
How can YOU help?
1. Share knowledge and information with the people you love.
2. Switch to safer products.
If you start with one product, I would recommend one that goes all over your face and neck. A tinted moisturizer with sunscreen. My favorite is Dew Skin from Beautycounter. I am wearing it in the photo above. Heres a close up shot of it:
Here’s my second favorite product from Beautycounter. This Rosewater mist!
Lastly, join us! Join my mission.
We need more voices.
You & I CAN make a difference! #thistimeitspersonal
